Well for the last weekend of summer we certainly celebrated in style with lots of loads, great friends, great jumping, surprise birthday BBQs, Stockton beach jumps and of course perfect weather.
Wayno and Jules made the trip up and over to Maitland for the weekend to say g’day and join in the fun, naturally they helped out with some Tandem loads including 5 on Sunday into Stockton Beach. How awesome is jumping the Beach - The views are just spectacular!
Celebrating 39 years young, a sneaky surprise birthday BBQ was had for Jay. MD was in stealth mode for over a month organising the present – a new Foose ball table for the house! Confirmation was received to turn the dinning room back into a FOOSE room and with Project Manager Wayno and Project Assistant Sparkie Dave given the job to assemble all was working to plan. A great night and thanks to everyone for helping get the birthday boy to the house without twigging, it was indeed a challenge.
But this wasn’t the end to celebrating, only just the beginning. Over the weekend Brian was working on his Starcrests, Sparkie Dave finished his Brels and is hot on George’s heels for the tracking trophy, JED from Moruya who has stopped into the DZ while based in Newie for a bit celebrated his 100th skydive – although to our disappointment did not continue the 100th nudie challenge developing at the DZ and Jono started his Brel 10s. How awesome are 4ways Jono!
Our newest AFF Instructors were able to crank out some great jumps with our current AFF students - Emma, Simon, Rob and Scotty smashing out the AFF stages before you know it we’ll be enjoying some cold cartons to congratulate.
Of course ending the weekend with a late afternoon sortie into Stockton Beach was just magic. Coincidentally there is a pub just across the park where we all enjoyed an afternoon beer with our tandem passengers before moving into Newie for a well earned meal.
All in all a great weekend, thanks to all our enthusiastic tandem passengers jumping both at the Drop Zone and Stockton Beach and to all our jumpers for keeping safe and looking after each other. Happy days and blue skies.
